Why they were chosen
In 2012 the Municipality of Limassol made Doros Ieropoulos the honorary offer to play the Carnival King, which he 'accepted with great pleasure'. It was a tribute to a man who had given a life to the city: footballer and twice President of Aris Limassol, for years President of the ETHAL theatre group, co-founder of radio 9.86. He paraded as 'Napoleon the Great'. In 2018 the Municipality honoured him again for his overall contribution to Limassol.
Who they are
Born in Larnaca, raised in Limassol. Aris Limassol footballer in the 1950s, later football director and twice club President (Cup final late 1980s, brought Oleg Blokhin).
