Why they were chosen

By unanimous Council decision on 11 January 2024 the Municipality chose 'a genuine carnival woman with many years in the Limassol Carnival': Christiana Charalambous won first prizes in the children's parades as early as nursery school, paraded for years with Toula Sykopetritou's group and in the Carnival King's retinue under the late Loula Siousmith, and 'since 2001 has taken part without interruption with her own group or float'. The Municipality also honoured her volunteer and charity work and her decades of presence in the city's events and national-day parades.

Who they are

Physical-education teacher and modern-dance instructor; organises school events with traditional dances; volunteer who 'helps fellow citizens of every age in need'. Her own group ('artistic float and walking group') for 23 years. Age not published. In 2025 she handed the crown to Vasilis Papavasiliou.
