Why they were chosen
At its session of 24 September 2026 the Municipal Council chose Spyros Matsoukas, 'a person with deep love for the Limassol Carnival and many years of active involvement in the institution', a member of the city's carnival family who 'takes part consistently and enthusiastically in its events and parades' together with his family. His home, as he says, turns all year round into 'a big wardrobe' from which friends and acquaintances collect their costumes. The Municipality wishes him 'a creative and unforgettable carnival year'.
Who they are
Limassol carnival man and family man who 'tries to pass on his love of carnival to his children'; has organised events and joined parades for years. Profession/age not published. Title and float not yet announced (as of 1/11/2026).
