Why they were chosen

In 2010 the grand parade fell exactly on 14 February, St Valentine's Day, so the Municipality styled the King 'The King of Hearts' and made love the theme of the year. He entered the city on an illuminated float with the Kantadoroi, the Municipal Philharmonic, the Batucinio percussion group and the Cyprus Girl Guides majorettes. Who played the role is not securely confirmed (see notes).
